Fat & Weird Cookie is owned by Brad and Aubrie Bromlow. They are a great couple with a great product, that we feel good getting behind! They are food and health/fitness enthusiasts with a beautiful little family! Brad and Jess actually went to college together and were in a brother/sister fraternity and sorority. Both went on to their professions, Brad in the military and Jess in law, but find it so wonderfully ironic that we are both now in the food industry so close together in the panhandle! It’s also wonderfully ironic that one of their best selling cookies has a PB component! Get ready for some delicious treats, locally, here in Destin!!

They have been around since 2000 and have received over 30 national and international awards for their cheeses. Their cows are healthy, barn-free, and grass-grazing. We know you will love their cheeses too!

Chef Phillip made a Peanut Butter Whiskey Panna Cotta with a Berry Compote, a Brioche Cookie, Chambord Chantilly, and Peanut Butter Dust (our play on an upscale dessert PB&J Sandwich so it had a bread element, a jam element, and, of course, PEANUT BUTTER!!) in 2022 and an Ooey-Gooey Peanut Butter Buttercake with Strawberry Compote, Chambord Chantilly, and Candied Peanuts in 2023.

Well, it just so happens that we are going to have a TON of used coffee and espresso grounds that are PERFECT for nutrient-rich compost for community and home gardens. If you'd like a bag, it's yours for a direct donation to Food For Thought. Food for Thought Outreach is a locally based non-profit organization fighting childhood hunger in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Chef Phil took a field trip in November, 2022 to the Food For Thought Full Circle Kitchen to teach a small group of high school students some hands-on cooking techniques! Welcoming the season of thanks, he taught them preparation (mise en place), knife skills, and blanching for a completed green bean casserole! He also covered the importance of using fresh ingredients and how to budget for the meal!
We were super excited to be invited to participate in the Epic Bakery Festival, held on Main Street in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast! 500 portions is the largest sampling of anything we have ever made, but we were motivated to rise to the challenge for such a good cause!

We used our Executive Pastry Chef, Mary Carillo's buttercake recipe to make an Ooey-Gooey Peanut Butter Buttercake, which we topped with a Warm Strawberry Compote, since the weather decided to turn into Florida winter that morning, waking up to the temps being in the early 50s!
We competed in the Mac n' Cheese Festival on March 4, 2023 with a three-cheese mac with cauliflower bechemel, harissa cauliflower crumbles, and topped with aji verde!
